Slowing time
When times stretches
For our third session we explored moments when time slows. We touched on our experiences in nature, as well as how time seemed to stretch during covid.
The wicked minstrel
by Angela Baker
Do you think Time has a sense of rhymical humour?
How many times, have you felt Time was playing a whimsical refrain?
Like a `Minky-Minstral`, Time is the Rhetorical question
Elusive but Empirical …….
EXACTING
OHHH! I feel betrayed, but can`t say NO,
When offered the opening notes to the next `Lively Step`!
Time lapse
by Caroline Jones
There was a time, some time ago, when I was an aspiring ballerina.
Every day my life revolved around classes:
turnout those feet, bum in, chest out, how many times have I told you to look up Caroline.
Every year we competed for a cup, the cup.
So here I am, it’s my turn, the room is big and full of people,
I can see it in my mind’s eye,
the aging silk panels, the formal grandeur, the smell of rosin
I take my position, all eyes on me, the music starts and I am brilliant,
my steps are perfect, I pirouette, I jete , I look up….
And then
I stop, the room is agog, I am agog;… the air is strangely light, someone is waving their arms (are they ok) eyes searching, confused, am I ok?
It seems I start moving, no wiser to the moment…and finish in a flourish ta da…ta da ta da.
Is it over? Was there clapping? Did I win?
Time goes way
by Lolita Jones
Time goes way, we make new friends and have some fun. Leaning new peoms and making up peoms. People that we have mate before that we know and people that we love and care for each other.
Are you like the sun.
We know who we are, and we love each other every day and care for each other. Love and time who stand alone and care for each other.
