Strong emotions

In our fourth class we explored playful energy. We looked at Sylvia Plath’s multidimensional poem ‘You’re’ which explores expectation, excitement and anxiety and we discussed the political importance of play.

I'm barking at you!  
Can't you hear the train?  
Let's chase it together  
and enjoy the rain.

And jump in the ocean,  
(we're already wet...)  
These are all joys  
so easy to get.

Don't try to say no,  
it's not the same, alone.  
You can cry and take grief  
after I'm gone.

Today is the time  
to be funny, have fun.  
Tomorrow who knows  
who will fire that gun.
